Based in Irving, TX, the Texas Okinawa Goju-kai Karate Federation
is headed by Shihan Dean Chapman, 6th dan
and has dojos across Texas.
The TOGKF provides weekly classes, student tournaments, seminars
and continuing education for students and instructors.
Goju-ryu Karate-do was founded by Master
Chojn Miyagi in the late 1920's. Master Miyagi was the successor
to Master Kanryo Higashionna, the leading exponent of Naha-te,
one of the three original "systems" that later developed
